Because tea balls or minis are intended for a single tea session, you don't need to pry off leaves or measure out portions. The session starts with rinsing the tea ball to help the leaves expand.

Unlike most loose leaf teas, puerh cakes and other compressed tea cakes need to be carefully pried to loosen or broken apart before you brew them.

Brewing grandpa tea is the simplest way to enjoy tea. It brings out nuances and tea character that can differ from gongfu style brewing.

The size of your gaiwan or teapot matters a lot, even more than the gaiwan versus teapot decision itself.

As life decisions go, gaiwan versus teapot might not be keeping you up at night, but it's consequential in the world of tea.

We try to keep our prices stable throughout the year with a once yearly update to reflect age, costs and market changes. We also try to offer a heads up before we change prices whenever possible and this is the last weekend before the change. So, for those of you looking to purchase teas from 2024 and earlier, this would be an excellent time to act.

This year white2tea will be on a shipping break from February 5th through February 24th for the holiday.  We will still accept orders throughout the month, but orders made during the break time will not be shipped until after February 24th. If you'd like to sneak an order in before the break, order as soon as possible! We will ship as many orders as we can before the break, but if you order after February 5th you will need to wait until the break is done. Happy year of the horse everyone! 

Big note for our American customers; you can order from us without tariff concerns. We are shipping again to the USA and covering all the costs for the tariffs. 

We were aiming for caution with our earlier notice, but we sent the May tea club out with the tariffs prepaid by us and they are arriving without incident. Our latest shipping method is stable for the near term and we will be working on new methods and options as the situation continues to develop. Thank you all so much for sticking with us!
