2017 Sunday Special
$3.80 – $29.00
Sunday Special was pressed in 2017.
We are very proud of this innovative ripe Puer blend. It combines several regions of Puer tea together with a partial mixture of our own small batch ripe Puer from last year. Silky mouthfeel and engaging sweetness with a unique fragrance. Best when enjoyed on Sunday.
This tea will benefit from resting around six months to one year, as it has some fairly fresh ripe Puer within the blend. Drinkable now, but avoid if you are sensitive to mild dui wei [pile flavor from freshly made ripe Puer].
Each cake is 200 grams of tea.
The Sunday Special ripe Puer tea cake was pressed in 2017. 200g cakes, with 5 cakes in a bamboo tong.

2015 Bosch Raw Puer Tea from White2tea.
This is tea is a blend of several areas, with character from both Xishuangbanna and Yiwu. The tea has light flavor and fragrance, causing it to be deceptively soft. Though we prefer to shy away from descriptions of body feeling, but it is worth mentioning that this tea creates an noticeable body feeling after being consumed. We do not recommend this tea for Puer beginners, as the subtlety and elegance of this tea may be lost on the beginners. This tea may be a better place to begin.

The 2017 tuhao as fuck is a blend of raw Puer material with character similar to Laobanzhang, without using any actual Laobanzhang material. Slightly heavier bitterness than in previous years, with a follow up of sweetness, the character is aggressive.
The tea itself is excellent quality despite not being “real” Laobanzhang. Aggressive in the first few years, this tea can benefit from some resting before drinking.

Lumber Slut was pressed in 2017.
If you dislike the idea of licking wood and rolling around on the damp forest floor, turn back now.
Lumber Slut is not the most approachable ripe Puer tea. Blended to favor the dense flavors of petrichor, this style of ripe Puer is focused on unfolding as a woody experience with notes of camphor and lower umber toned tastes. Will benefit from further aging, but if you're down for what this tea is offering, we suspect you can drink it straight away without flinching.
Each cake is 200 grams of tea.

This tea was produced in autumn of 2015 with 2014 Puer material using a traditional technique for bamboo Puer pressing. The Big Leaf Bamboo is named for the Huanpian [larger, older Puer leaves] that were used in its making. The tea starts with a bitter character and becomes sweeter as the session progresses, the tea flavors meld with the bamboo throughout. The tea can also be boiled for a heavy syrupy drink, or used in cooking rice to impart a tea/bamboo flavor. Drink now or aged as desired.
We decided to produce this tea according to the natural shapes of the bamboo rather than waste pieces that didn't fit our ideal shape or size. We will break apart the amount you choose and send it in a sealed bag.
Each purchase amount is 50 grams.

2016 Orange Drop is made with blended aged ripe Puer material and a fresh 2016 Xinhui Mandarin.
The tea is meant to be drunk with the orange and all. You can brew the entire orange, tea and all, without breaking it up. They are harvested when the fruit is extremely young and unripe, hence the small size and greenish hue. The early steeps are very astringent, so if you dislike the fresh green bite, toss out the first 2-3 steeps, and drink the next 12 or so.
Most of the cost of this tea is due to the high price of both the handmade labor and the prized skins of Xinhui Mandarins, which cost much more than most Puer tea by weight. If you are interested in better value for tea weight, check out our other Ripe Puer Teas.
Each purchase is for one Orange Drop.

2011 Black Star is made with blended aged ripe Puer material and an aged 2011 Xinhui Mandarin.
The tea is meant to be drunk with the orange skin. Simply break off a few small pieces (roughly an 8:1 tea to skin ratio) and steep together. The black star has a woody character, and much of the strong young fruit has faded, as the flavors have moved towards medicinal flavor. For those interested in a stronger fruity flavor, we recommend the 2015 Red Star.

Big O was pressed in 2017.
This blend of ripe Puer was pressed with aged orange peels, also called chenpi from Xinhui, in Guangdong province. The orange peels add an entrancing fragrance to the tea and will age with the tea over time. When steeping, the tea opens first with a smooth soup texture, with the orange peels contributing more during mid to late steeps. The dynamic between the tea and the chenpi is engaging and soothing. An excellent drink for cold weather, nothing warms you up quite like a Big O.

The Fade brick is a raw Puer tea, pressed in 2016 using 2015 Yiwu Huangpian [the largest leaf in Puer processing] material.
While huangpian are often considered to be inexpensive, the quality of the material in this blend is very high. The tea is sweet and thick. There is a slight sour note in the tea which will give way to honey and smoothness with further aging. We also feel this tea has a strong body feeling, though that varies from person to person.
Suitable to drink now or age for the long haul. There are 5 bricks per 1 kilogram tong.
