Named after the term coined by blogger Marshaln - our Grandpa's ripe Puer tea is an 8 gram ball that is meant to be tossed into a cup, mug, or thermos and brewed with very little attention. Just add boiling water and enjoy. The Grandpa's has a smooth body and a classic Menghai character.

Each tea brick is 100 grams. All material used in the bricks is from the Yunnan province of China. The set is an excellent comparison of processing methods for new tea drinkers, but the leaf used is all high quality, so even experienced drinkers can enjoy the Chocobars! They are ideal for tea on the go or as a small gift for a tea drinker.
The 2016 ChocoBar Ripe Puer is a 100g brick, with a shape that is easily breakable for convenient brewing.
The brick is a blend of daily drinker ripe Puer. Smooth and rich tea for no fuss tea brewing on the go, at the office, or at home.
Channel Orange was pressed in 2015 into a chocolate bar shape.
The brick is a mixed of a white2tea Puer blend and a mix of 3-8 years old Xinhui Chenpi, the dried skins of mandarin oranges. The result is a thick and fragrant natural melding of fruit flavors and the characteristic smooth body of ripe Puer. We find this to be a soothing tea that is great for cool weather or rainy days.
Trap Bird was pressed in 2016.
A fragrance forward tea with a heavy amount of buds and small leaves. The intense aromas of the tea are bolstered by a base of softer medium sized leaf to keep the tea engaging late in the session. Great for everyday ripe Puer on the lighter side.
The 2016 Brown Sugar is made from a large percentage of huangpian [the largest leaf used in Puer production]. The soup is sweet and smooth, with a light and approachable character. The blend has a larger percentage of smaller leaf material than the 2015 blend, as well as the incorporation of several regions.
Each brick is 200 grams.
Cream was pressed in 2016.
A thick, yet balanced ripe Puer with heavy soup and an engaging fragrance. Menghai style character shows through strongly, even though this is a fairly fresh cake. Drink now or age for the future.
2016 Orange Drop is made with blended aged ripe Puer material and a fresh 2016 Xinhui Mandarin.
The tea is meant to be drunk with the orange and all. You can brew the entire orange, tea and all, without breaking it up. They are harvested when the fruit is extremely young and unripe, hence the small size and greenish hue. The early steeps are very astringent, so if you dislike the fresh green bite, toss out the first 2-3 steeps, and drink the next 12 or so.
Most of the cost of this tea is due to the high price of both the handmade labor and the prized skins of Xinhui Mandarins, which cost much more than most Puer tea by weight. If you are interested in better value for tea weight, check out our other Ripe Puer Teas.

Ripe Puer Tea from White2tea, made using 2012 material, pressed in 2015.
This tea is made from a pile fermented exclusively with top tier huangpian [the largest leaf used in Puer production]. The Brown Sugar brick has Menghai character. The soup is sweet and smooth. It was rested for over two years prior to pressing and is ready to drink now or store for the long term. The material used is of uncommonly high quality. Later steeps are light in color, with a sweet and soft profile.
The fermentation level of this tea was around 65%, which is considered light. Some leaves may even be slightly greenish, and will continue to become darker with further aging.

The blend is a combination of high quality Menghai area material from the previous several years, pressed in 2015. Depth, sweetness, and fragrance are beginning to emerge from this tea, which rested in Menghai post pressing. An excellent tea to drink right now or store for the long term.
