This early spring 2019 white tea is made in a sun dried white style. The tea has minimal processing, picked and sun dried. This tea was processed from tea that is usually destined to be made as Dancong oolong, made from the Milan varietal from Guangdong province. The Milan White is sweet and succulent. The large leaves take several steeps to ramp up, pouring out a bright spectrum of fragrances during a gongfu session. Quite a unique experience, as this varietal of tea is seldom produced as white tea. Each purchase is for 25 grams.$7.50 Add to cart
Trap Bird was pressed in 2016. A fragrance forward tea with a heavy amount of buds and small leaves. Great for everyday ripe Puer on the lighter side.$3.75 – $23.50 Select options
This tea is a feature in the 2016 September tea club. The Old Whitey was a special commission for white2tea using large leaf Puer varietal (camellia sinensis assamica), processed as white tea in a similar fashion to Fujian shoumei, that was fully sun dried with no air tunnel drying. The results are a unique and natural tea suitable for drinking now or for further aging. The body of the tea is intensely thick and smooth, with a distinct sweetness and floral scent. Each cake is 100 grams.$20.00 Add to cart

Stored in dry/natural conditions in Fujian until pressing in 2018, this baicha [white tea] from Fuding county in Fujian province is considered to be Gongmei grade white tea, which has more buds and higher grade leaf than a Shoumei. The thick body of this tea has a heavy sweetness and beautiful array of fragrances, with a slightly youthful crispness when pushed. This tea is very versatile and suitable for further aging or drinking directly. Each cake is 360 grams.$5.25 – $59.00 Select options
2016 Orange Drop is made with blended aged ripe Puer material and a fresh 2016 Xinhui Mandarin. The tea is meant to be drunk with the orange and all. You can brew the entire orange, tea and all, without breaking it up. They are harvested when the fruit is extremely young and unripe, hence the small size and greenish hue. The early steeps are very astringent, so if you dislike the fresh green bite, toss out the first 2-3 steeps, and drink the next 12 or so. Most of the cost of this tea is due to the high price of both the handmade labor and the prized skins of Xinhui Mandarins, which cost much more than most Puer tea by weight. If you are interested in better value for tea weight, check out our other Ripe Puer Teas. Each purchase is for one Orange Drop.$4.00 Read more
A blend of raw Puer material with thick rich soup and a long lasting huigan [sweetness in the mouth]. Young astringency and bitterness are both front and center on entry. This tea will continue to get thicker as it calms down from pressing. Each cake is 200 grams.$11.50 – $76.00 Select options
The Fade brick is a raw Puer tea, pressed in 2016 using 2015 Yiwu Huangpian [the largest leaf in Puer processing] material. While huangpian are often considered to be inexpensive, the quality of the material in this blend is very high. The tea is sweet and thick. There is a slight sour note in the tea which will give way to honey and smoothness with further aging. We also feel this tea has a strong body feeling, though that varies from person to person. Suitable to drink now or age for the long haul. There are 5 bricks per 1 kilogram tong.$4.60 – $29.00 Select options
The 2016 Brown Sugar is made from a large percentage of huangpian [the largest leaf used in Puer production]. The soup is sweet and smooth, with a light and approachable character. The blend has a larger percentage of smaller leaf material than the 2015 blend, as well as the incorporation of several regions. Each brick is 200 grams.$3.75 – $22.00 Select options
Stored in dry/natural conditions in Fujian from 2014-2018, this baicha [white tea] from Fuding county in Fujian province is considered to be Shoumei grade white tea. A light, smooth tea with a soft body. This Shoumei has buoyant fragrances that range from clover honey to spices like cinnamon. This tea can be prepared a wide variety of ways with excellent results. Gongfu style brewing will yield a lighter colored soup and boiling will produce a thick red soup. Excellent value for a large cake of Shoumei with a touch of age. This tea is very versatile and suitable for further aging or drinking directly.$3.80 – $42.00 Select options
A blend of both white and black tea experiment gone horribly right, this is the latest incarnation of our sold out 2016 Hot Brandy. The soup is thick, smooth, and fragrant. It fairs well with both gongfu style and western style brewing. The tea has excellent endurance and can steep for a very long time and can even withstand being simmered or boiled without becoming acrid. Both the white tea and black tea have been sun dried and should age well together. However, we are only two years deep on this experiment; though the results are promising, how it will age in the long term is anybody's guess.$4.50 – $27.50 Select options
Free Shipping anywhere on Earth, coupon code: basics The Sister Brother set is a comparison sample set that illustrates the difference in processing styles that can exist between two different people, in this case a sister and brother. The material in the bricks is identical Nannuo mountain material, but each brick was commissioned to be processed by only one person. The sister brick is material processed with a shorter kill green phase at a lower temperature, where as the brother brick is processed with a higher flame and fried for a longer time. These are their natural processing styles as people, I simply told them to process the tea as they normally would and to keep their respective materials separate for pressing. This set is best used in a side by side comparison to see how the person processing a tea can influence the end results of identical material. It should shed light on how much variation can truly occur, not only within a "single origin" tea, but even within a family using identical material from a single tea garden. Each set is 200 grams of raw Puer tea, comprised of two 100g bricks. Though this is an educational set, the tea is pretty damn nice - learning should be fun.$49.00 Select options

A blend of raw Puer material with character similar to Laobanzhang, without using any actual Laobanzhang material. Though Laobanzhang character is not a singular thing, and can mean literally hundreds of different things, we opted for a tea with a lighter bitterness and more sweetness and internal strength. The tea itself is excellent quality. Despite not being “real” Laobanzhang, it is real tea. Each cake is 200 grams.$23.50 – $160.00 Select options
A specially commissioned baimudan grade white tea from Guizhou province. We tried and fell in love with this tea in 2017, but were too late to buy any of the material. In the spring of 2018 we had our money in the producers hands before the buds were plucked.
Censers is an elegant white tea with a full bodied smoothness. The tea has a bright and complex fragrance that endures throughout a long session, lingering in the mouth and the cups long after the tea has gone. The fragrances and flavors shift between sweet floral aromas and fresh light fruits. One of our favorite white teas from 2018 spring.
This tea was produced in 2018 by hand roasting tea with a traditional technique of bamboo tea pressing. The aromatics of the bamboo and the flame of the roast have mingled with the bright aromas of the fresh, bud heavy white tea to make a very unique experience. It has a complex interplay of fragrance, sweetness and smoothness. This tea was roasted in the tips of the bamboo stalks, with 80 grams of tea per piece. Rather than break them up for a 25g sample, we will be selling them directly as a whole piece. Each purchase is for 80 grams.$23.50 Add to cart

A blend of raw Puer material from Yiwu region. When we first made this blend in 2014, we wrote "This tier of tea rarely sees the light of day in the open market," and we sincerely mean that. Not a blend we would recommend for beginners. The traits that make this tea special are often not apparent to most new Puer drinkers. We will not be making this exact blend next year. Each cake is 357 grams. The per gram price and cake price of this tea are identical to facilitate people buying less than a full cake with no mark up.$32.80 – $469.00 Select options

The 2018 White Tripel is a blend of white tea that incorporates six different teas from three different provinces. The provinces of Fujian, Yunnan, and Guizhou are all present in the blend. The broad range of materials unite together to form a layered experience of smooth, fragrant sweetness. The Tripel has a complex floral base and creamy texture in the mouth. The flavors evolve from steep to steep as different materials contribute their character. We prefer this tea brewed gongfu style, but it also does well grandpa style or even simmered.
We hope you have the opportunity to try this unique blend of tea. Suitable for aging or immediate drinking.
Each cake is 200 grams.
The 2017 white tea is made in a "yue guang bai" or moonlight white style, dried without sunlight or air drying. The tea has minimal processing, picked and shade dried. The fresh fragrances of newly dried tea are still vibrantly alive in the tea. Each purchase is for 50 grams.$9.50 Add to cart

This tea was produced in autumn of 2017 using a traditional technique for bamboo Puer pressing and a specific variety of fragrant bamboo. The base material is identical to our 2017 Turtle Dove. The aromatics of the bamboo and the roast of the fire have engulfed with the white tea to make a very unique tea. It has a complex character of sweetness and smoothness, melded with the heavy nature of being roasted on an open flame. The tea will benefit from a few months of rest, as it was processed in late October of 2017, and as of the release the taste of the roast is still quite fresh. Drink now or aged as desired. We decided to produce this tea according to the natural shapes of the bamboo rather than waste pieces that didn’t fit our ideal shape or size. We will break apart the amount you choose and send it in a sealed bag. If you would like an entire piece with the bamboo, please contact us directly and we will help you choose a size. Most are around 400 grams. Each purchase is for 50 grams.$8.00 Add to cart
Channel Orange was pressed in 2015 into a chocolate bar shape. The brick is a mixed of a white2tea Puer blend and a mix of 3-8 years old Xinhui Chenpi, the dried skins of mandarin oranges. The result is a thick and fragrant natural melding of fruit flavors and the characteristic smooth body of ripe Puer. We find this to be a soothing tea that is great for cool weather or rainy days.$23.00 Add to cart
