This early spring 2019 white tea is made in a sun dried white style. The tea has minimal processing, picked and sun dried. This tea was processed from tea that is usually destined to be made as Dancong oolong, made from the Milan varietal from Guangdong province. The Milan White is sweet and succulent. The large leaves take several steeps to ramp up, pouring out a bright spectrum of fragrances during a gongfu session. Quite a unique experience, as this varietal of tea is seldom produced as white tea. Each purchase is for 25 grams.$7.50 Add to cart
Lumber Slut was pressed in 2018. The return of our heralded woody blend from 2017. Blended to favor the dense flavors of petrichor and wood, this style of ripe Puer is focused on unfolding as an experience with notes of camphor and lower umber toned tastes. Will benefit from further aging, but if you're down for what this tea is offering, we suspect you can drink it straight away without flinching. Our Dahongpao is a blend of oolong tea from the Fujian province of China. Originally used to describe the tea from a small group of bushes in Fujian, the name Dahongpao in a modern context is more commonly used to describe blends of yancha [rock oolong] instead of denoting a varietal or processing distinction. Our Dahongpao is a blend that relies heavily on the Meizhan varietal with traditional style processing that incorporates the roast, mineral nature and fragrances of typical yancha in a balanced way. Excellent as an introduction to quality yancha. Each purchase is for 25 grams of tea.$9.50 Read more

A blend of both white and black tea experiment gone horribly right, this is the latest incarnation of our sold out 2016 Hot Brandy. The soup is thick, smooth, and fragrant. It fairs well with both gongfu style and western style brewing. The tea has excellent endurance and can steep for a very long time and can even withstand being simmered or boiled without becoming acrid. Both the white tea and black tea have been sun dried and should age well together. However, we are only two years deep on this experiment; though the results are promising, how it will age in the long term is anybody's guess.$4.50 – $27.50 Select options

The 2019 Milan Maocha is a bit of a misnomer, how can a tea be both maocha [loose tea] and a brick? In this case, the term maocha refers to the Dancong oolong tea being left in its raw form before pressing. We commissioned this production to be left with stems and large leaves for this pressing. The roast is medium-heavy, roasted for 24 hours with the highest temperature at 125 C. The heavier roast will evolve and calm in the coming years, despite having a slight bite at the time of pressing. The brick is incredibly fragrant, with deeper honey and floral flavors emerging throughout the course of a session. This tea is still slightly punchy, but the tea has a complex interplay between the roast and the brighter aspects of a traditional Milan Dancong. Excellent endurance, this tea can be re-steeped for a very long time. Drink now or age as you please. Each brick is 200 grams. Each tong is a bamboo leaf packed with two bricks.$9.80 – $65.00 Select options

'Tis the season for hype, generosity and laughter. No samples. First come, first serve. Drink now or age for the long haul. All love.$15.00 Select options

This tea was produced in 2018 using a traditional technique for bamboo Puer pressing. Peace Lily is a production of Huanpian [larger, older Puer leaves] that were hand roasted in fragrant bamboo. The young tea still has a touch of astringency, with the sweet character and aroma of the tea peaking through the fragrances of the bamboo and the flame. A thick bodied and heavy tea when pushed, lighter amounts of tea can also be brewed for a refreshing, fragrant cup of tea. Suitable for aging or drinking now as your prefer. A specially commissioned baimudan grade white tea from Guizhou province. We tried and fell in love with this tea in 2017, but were too late to buy any of the material. In the spring of 2018 we had our money in the producers hands before the buds were plucked.
