This tea was produced in 2018 by hand roasting tea with a traditional technique of bamboo tea pressing.
The aromatics of the bamboo and the flame of the roast have mingled with the bright aromas of the fresh, bud heavy white tea to make a very unique experience. It has a complex interplay of fragrance, sweetness and smoothness.
This tea was roasted in the tips of the bamboo stalks, with 80 grams of tea per piece. Rather than break them up for a 25g sample, we will be selling them directly as a whole piece.

Nightlife is a bud heavy, high grade production of yueguangbai [moonlight white] style tea, commissioned from large leaf varietal material usually destined for raw Puer tea.
The tea has a heavy, creamy mouth feel with an airy sweetness and aroma. An enduring white tea with distinct character.
The 2019 WTCCCTV is made from old arbor large leaf varietal tea that is usually destined to be made in raw Puer, picked and processed in shaihong [sun dried black tea] style tea with no machine processing.
WTCCCTV is a heavily sweet and full bodied black tea with a range of honey and fruit flavors that fluctuate between sweet grass and unripe pear. The natural style of sun dried processing means that leaves range in oxidation level, allowing for a complex experience with a bit of variation from session to session. This is an enduring and heavy black tea best suited for a longer, gongfu style tea session.
A specially commissioned baimudan grade white tea from Guizhou province. We tried and fell in love with this tea in 2017, but were too late to buy any of the material. In the spring of 2018 we had our money in the producers hands before the buds were plucked.
Censers is an elegant white tea with a full bodied smoothness. The tea has a bright and complex fragrance that endures throughout a long session, lingering in the mouth and the cups long after the tea has gone. The fragrances and flavors shift between sweet floral aromas and fresh light fruits. One of our favorite white teas from 2018 spring.

Select options The 2018 White Tripel is a blend of white tea that incorporates six different teas from three different provinces. The provinces of Fujian, Yunnan, and Guizhou are all present in the blend. The broad range of materials unite together to form a layered experience of smooth, fragrant sweetness. The Tripel has a complex floral base and creamy texture in the mouth. The flavors evolve from steep to steep as different materials contribute their character. We prefer this tea brewed gongfu style, but it also does well grandpa style or even simmered.

This tea is more of a personal production; a few kilograms of scraped together astronomically priced Yiwu. I wouldn't really recommend this tea for people who are new to drinking raw Puer. (under several years or so) The reasons this tea is phenomenal are not "slap in the face obvious", but it is unbelievably comforting to drink, like sweet silk covering your throat and stomach. Drink this tea if you are deep into Yiwu and have the budget, otherwise pretend you never saw this and buy the 2019 inb4 instead. It is a much better value and also a very high end Yiwu raw Puer.

This tea exhibits aged qualities; dark smoothness and a sweet base with medicinal aromas. The 2016 Censers has a complex fragrance that endures throughout a long session, lingering in the mouth and the cups long after the tea has gone. The fragrances and flavors shift between dark stone fruits and herbal medicines from steep to steep. This tea has a remarkably different character depending on brewing parameters. Lighter weight and fast steep times emphasize the sweetness, whereas a heavy hand brings out the thick bodied dark flavors.

The dates on the original boxes was actually 2013, but the producer said to the best of his recollection it was in fact from spring 2016, so we went with the later date. The true age is anybody's guess, but it was pressed with age on it.
The 2017 white tea is made in a natural white style. The tea has minimal processing, picked and sun dried. This tea was processed from tea that is usually destined for raw Puer from the Mengsong mountain range in Yunnan.
The Sunlight White is sweet and soft, with a full range of leaves contributing to its depth. It is wispy and easy to drink with a natural character and a light floral fragrance. Perfect to drink now, but could be aged as well.

Our Grandpa's ripe Puer tea is a 7 gram ball that is blended with the intention that you will not handle it with care. The Grandpa's has a smooth body and a classic heavy bodied shu character that has legs.

This tea was produced in autumn of 2017 using a traditional technique for bamboo Puer pressing and a specific variety of fragrant bamboo. The base material is identical to our 2017 Turtle Dove.
The aromatics of the bamboo and the roast of the fire have engulfed with the white tea to make a very unique tea. It has a complex character of sweetness and smoothness, melded with the heavy nature of being roasted on an open flame.
The tea will benefit from a few months of rest, as it was processed in late October of 2017, and as of the release the taste of the roast is still quite fresh. Drink now or aged as desired.
We decided to produce this tea according to the natural shapes of the bamboo rather than waste pieces that didn’t fit our ideal shape or size. We will break apart the amount you choose and send it in a sealed bag. If you would like an entire piece with the bamboo, please contact us directly and we will help you choose a size. The 2019 Milan Maocha is a bit of a misnomer, how can a tea be both maocha [loose tea] and a brick? In this case, the term maocha refers to the Dancong oolong tea being left in its raw form before pressing. We commissioned this production to be left with stems and large leaves for this pressing. The roast is medium-heavy, roasted for 24 hours with the highest temperature at 125 C. The heavier roast will evolve and calm in the coming years, despite having a slight bite at the time of pressing.
The brick is incredibly fragrant, with deeper honey and floral flavors emerging throughout the course of a session. This tea is still slightly punchy, but the tea has a complex interplay between the roast and the brighter aspects of a traditional Milan Dancong. Excellent endurance, this tea can be re-steeped for a very long time. Drink now or age as you please.
