A specially commissioned baimudan grade white tea from Guizhou province. We tried and fell in love with this tea in 2017, but were too late to buy any of the material. In the spring of 2018 we had our money in the producers hands before the buds were plucked.
Censers is an elegant white tea with a full bodied smoothness. The tea has a bright and complex fragrance that endures throughout a long session, lingering in the mouth and the cups long after the tea has gone. The fragrances and flavors shift between sweet floral aromas and fresh light fruits. One of our favorite white teas from 2018 spring.
The 2019 Milan Maocha is a bit of a misnomer, how can a tea be both maocha [loose tea] and a brick? In this case, the term maocha refers to the Dancong oolong tea being left in its raw form before pressing. We commissioned this production to be left with stems and large leaves for this pressing. The roast is medium-heavy, roasted for 24 hours with the highest temperature at 125 C. The heavier roast will evolve and calm in the coming years, despite having a slight bite at the time of pressing. The brick is incredibly fragrant, with deeper honey and floral flavors emerging throughout the course of a session. This tea is still slightly punchy, but the tea has a complex interplay between the roast and the brighter aspects of a traditional Milan Dancong. Excellent endurance, this tea can be re-steeped for a very long time. Drink now or age as you please. Each brick is 200 grams. Each tong is a bamboo leaf packed with two bricks.$9.80 – $65.00 Select options

There is an improved depth of character and complexity that take the original blend in a new direction. Excellent tea for the price, with potential to age or perfect for fresh sheng lovers. A blend of both white and black tea, Hot Brandy is a completely new style of cake that was born of experimentation. The soup is thick, smooth, and fragrant. It fairs well with both gongfu style and western style brewing. The tea has excellent endurance and can steep for a very long time and can even withstand being simmered or boiled without becoming acrid. This early spring 2019 white tea is made in a sun dried white style. The tea has minimal processing, picked and sun dried. This tea was processed from tea that is usually destined to be made as Dancong oolong, made from the Milan varietal from Guangdong province. The Milan White is sweet and succulent. The large leaves take several steeps to ramp up, pouring out a bright spectrum of fragrances during a gongfu session. Quite a unique experience, as this varietal of tea is seldom produced as white tea. Each purchase is for 25 grams.$7.50 Add to cart
A blend of both white and black tea experiment gone horribly right, this is the latest incarnation of our sold out 2016 Hot Brandy. The soup is thick, smooth, and fragrant. It fairs well with both gongfu style and western style brewing. The tea has excellent endurance and can steep for a very long time and can even withstand being simmered or boiled without becoming acrid. Both the white tea and black tea have been sun dried and should age well together. However, we are only two years deep on this experiment; though the results are promising, how it will age in the long term is anybody's guess.$4.50 – $27.50 Select options
Our 2019 Nightfall is a commissioned yueguangbai, which is a shade dried white tea from Yunnan province. This production was made entirely of old arbor tea that is usually destined to be raw Puer tea. If you are accustomed to drinking yueguangbai teas with a bud heavy picking standard, you may notice that this tea has a lot of larger leaves; this is because when you make an old arbor tea you want to pick whatever the trees are giving and not waste a bit of it. This tea has a thick enduring aroma and flavor with a hefty, silky body. A beautiful cake that any lover of white teas must try. Each cake is 200 grams.$9.80 – $65.00 Select options
This tea is more of a personal production; a few kilograms of scraped together astronomically priced Yiwu. I wouldn't really recommend this tea for people who are new to drinking raw Puer. (under several years or so) The reasons this tea is phenomenal are not "slap in the face obvious", but it is unbelievably comforting to drink, like sweet silk covering your throat and stomach. Drink this tea if you are deep into Yiwu and have the budget, otherwise pretend you never saw this and buy the 2019 inb4 instead. It is a much better value and also a very high end Yiwu raw Puer. Each cake is 200 grams.$49.00 – $349.00 Select options
The 2018 Turtle Dove is a pressed white tea from Yunnan. Made from large leaf varietal material, the tea is sun dried, with no machine processing involved. Pressed more loosely than the 2017 brick version. The tea has a thick body, soft mouthfeel, and a unique natural fragrance. This tea is very forgiving with any type of brewing, including gongfu, western, or grandpa style. A perfect white tea to drink daily without much fuss.$4.00 – $28.00 Select options
The 2019 Pretty Girls Ripe Puer Tea is the return of our sold out 2018 blend. The blend has a beautiful aroma. If one were to try and place it in a broad category in might be a pulling a hot tray of freshly baked cherry danishes from a wood-fired oven type, but we will leave that up to you. Pretty Girls quickly proceeds into sweet shou territory after the rinse. The velvety texture of the soup and complex flavors develop over the coming steeps and eventually settle into a soft sweet profile that can be infused over and over. Drink immediately or age as your prefer. Each brick is 100g and can be easily broken apart by hand. Tongs contain 5 bricks (500g of tea).$4.90 – $18.00 Select options
The 2018 White Tripel is a blend of white tea that incorporates six different teas from three different provinces. The provinces of Fujian, Yunnan, and Guizhou are all present in the blend. The broad range of materials unite together to form a layered experience of smooth, fragrant sweetness. The Tripel has a complex floral base and creamy texture in the mouth. The flavors evolve from steep to steep as different materials contribute their character. We prefer this tea brewed gongfu style, but it also does well grandpa style or even simmered.
We hope you have the opportunity to try this unique blend of tea. Suitable for aging or immediate drinking.
Each cake is 200 grams.
This blend has a fair amount of aged material in the mix. The smooth and quiet initial steeps of the tea belie a layered complexity with a focus on sweeter Menghai style character. The intense feel of the tea creeps up on feather foot steps and strikes out of nowhere. The aromas have a range from grapes to sweet honey, with a bit of fresh florals from the younger materials. Not the type of tea you would want to chug at work, better to set aside time for a long session. Each cake is 200 grams.$12.60 – $85.00 Select options
The 2019 January 9th 5:15 AM 2019 is an experimental blend with a slow inertia that builds into a rumbling avalanche of bitterness, sweetness and aroma. Each cake is 200 grams.$17.90 – $122.00 Select options
This tea is a feature in the 2016 September tea club. The Old Whitey was a special commission for white2tea using large leaf Puer varietal (camellia sinensis assamica), processed as white tea in a similar fashion to Fujian shoumei, that was fully sun dried with no air tunnel drying. The results are a unique and natural tea suitable for drinking now or for further aging. The body of the tea is intensely thick and smooth, with a distinct sweetness and floral scent. Each cake is 100 grams.$20.00 Add to cart
Pressed from our maocha reserves, this tea was dry stored tightly sealed since 2014 and pressed in spring 2019. The 2019 WTCCCTV is made from old arbor large leaf varietal tea that is usually destined to be made in raw Puer, picked and processed in shaihong [sun dried black tea] style tea with no machine processing.
WTCCCTV is a heavily sweet and full bodied black tea with a range of honey and fruit flavors that fluctuate between sweet grass and unripe pear. The natural style of sun dried processing means that leaves range in oxidation level, allowing for a complex experience with a bit of variation from session to session. This is an enduring and heavy black tea best suited for a longer, gongfu style tea session.
This tea was produced in autumn of 2017 using a traditional technique for bamboo Puer pressing and a specific variety of fragrant bamboo. The base material is identical to our 2017 Turtle Dove. The aromatics of the bamboo and the roast of the fire have engulfed with the white tea to make a very unique tea. It has a complex character of sweetness and smoothness, melded with the heavy nature of being roasted on an open flame. The tea will benefit from a few months of rest, as it was processed in late October of 2017, and as of the release the taste of the roast is still quite fresh. Drink now or aged as desired. We decided to produce this tea according to the natural shapes of the bamboo rather than waste pieces that didn’t fit our ideal shape or size. We will break apart the amount you choose and send it in a sealed bag. If you would like an entire piece with the bamboo, please contact us directly and we will help you choose a size.
