The 2018 White Tripel is a blend of white tea that incorporates six different teas from three different provinces. The provinces of Fujian, Yunnan, and Guizhou are all present in the blend. The broad range of materials unite together to form a layered experience of smooth, fragrant sweetness. The Tripel has a complex floral base and creamy texture in the mouth. The flavors evolve from steep to steep as different materials contribute their character. We prefer this tea brewed gongfu style, but it also does well grandpa style or even simmered.

The 2018 Milan Maocha is a bit of a misnomer, how can a tea be both maocha [loose tea] and a brick? In this case, the term maocha refers to the Dancong oolong tea being left in its raw form before pressing. We commissioned this production to be left with stems and large leaves for this pressing. The roast is also medium-heavy, roasted for 24 hours with the highest temperature at 125 C. We wanted a heavier roast that could evolve and calm in the coming years, despite having a slight bite at the time of pressing.
The brick is incredibly fragrant, with deeper honey and floral flavors emerging throughout the course of a session. This tea is still slightly punchy, but the tea has a complex interplay between the roast and the brighter aspects of a traditional Milan Dancong. Drink now or age as you please.

Back by popular demand, the 2018 Natural Redhead is a pressed black tea from Yunnan, made in a dianhong style. Made from large leaf varietal material, the tea is sun dried, with no machine processing involved. The tea is smooth, with a very thick body, and a soft natural fragrance.

Old arbor large leaf varietal tea that is usually destined to be made in raw Puer, picked and processed into dianhong style tea with sun drying. We also have a white tea version of the same material.
Arbor red is has an herbaceous fragrance and flavors that often border on medicinal. Sweetness underlies the complex flavors and heavy body of this tea. This is an enduring and heavy black tea best suited for a longer, gongfu style tea session.

Arbor white is deep and complex, thick tea with low tones and a subtle natural feel. This tea has a long development over the course of a session and can be a bit heavy. Not an ideal daily drinker, the Arbor white is better left for occasions where one can immerse themselves in this tea.
A specially commissioned baimudan grade white tea from Guizhou province. We tried and fell in love with this tea in 2017, but were too late to buy any of the material. In the spring of 2018 we had our money in the producers hands before the buds were plucked.
Censers is an elegant white tea with a full bodied smoothness. The tea has a bright and complex fragrance that endures throughout a long session, lingering in the mouth and the cups long after the tea has gone. The fragrances and flavors shift between sweet floral aromas and fresh light fruits. One of our favorite white teas from 2018 spring.

Nightlife is a bud heavy, high grade production of yueguangbai [moonlight white] style tea, commissioned from large leaf varietal material usually destined for raw Puer tea.
The tea has a heavy, creamy mouth feel with an airy sweetness and aroma. An enduring white tea with distinct character.
The 2018 Turtle Dove is a pressed white tea from Yunnan. Made from large leaf varietal material, the tea is sun dried, with no machine processing involved. Pressed more loosely than the 2017 brick version.
The tea has a thick body, soft mouthfeel, and a unique natural fragrance. This tea is very forgiving with any type of brewing, including gongfu, western, or grandpa style. A perfect white tea to drink daily without much fuss.
The most complex blend of 2018, involving a wide range of high end material from several regions. The unique character of this tea is heavy with strength. Lucky Puppy evolves from steep to steep in a gongfu brewing session, displaying a wide array of characteristics and a unique experience. The tea has a powerful aggressive character in earlier steeps, with a lasting huigan and depth of returning flavor. The later steeps trail off into smooth sweetness and can be resteeped many times. Drink now or age if you can keep your hands off this puppy.

Ghosts has a base of Menghai character blended with several other areas. Youthful and brash with a balance between astringency, bitterness and sweetness. Complex fragrance and character for a tea in this price range. Suitable for long term aging.
