The world is shaken up right now. Life in China for us has been touch and go for months. For many people throughout the rest of the world, the struggles continue or the real impact is just beginning to hit.
What does this have to do with white2tea? Well, we had 100 kilograms of loose raw Puer from 2015 that was being saved for a rainy day and this seems like as rainy a string of days as any, so last week we pressed it into cakes to give some away.
We are planning to give away 100 of these cakes (shipping and all) and sell the other 400 for a very low price ($15 per cake for 200 grams of five year old material we aged ourselves). There is a limit of one free cake per customer. It's our hope that this tea can offer a little solace to people who are having a tough time financially or emotionally right now.

This is a somewhat risky proposition in a time when earnest action is a little hard to find, but we're going to do it anyway. The plan is to send 100 packages free of charge, but we might aim higher or lower in the event of overwhelming earnest response or a troll army demanding free tea.

*A quick last note: shipping from China right now is both unpredictable for timing and prices. Just this morning we heard of a spate of cancelled flights and big shipping rate increases as well. We will try to ship orders as fast as we can, but even leaving Chinese customs has been known to take a week. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as global shipping will tend to take a lot longer than usual during this crisis.

We are currently on a break for Chinese New Year, giving some well earned rest and family celebration to the dedicated postal workers of China. We will be on break until February 22nd. If you order during the break, we will ship as soon as we can when postal service resumes.
