The 2021 Tuhao is a blend of raw Puer material with character similar to Laobanzhang, without using any actual Laobanzhang material. Slightly heavier bitterness than in previous years, with a follow up of sweetness, the character is aggressive.
An excellent alternative to chasing the fame addled village, this tea is a bargain and better than the vast majority of teas mislabeled as Laobanzhang in the market.
Tuhao tea benefits from aging, but fans of strong tea will enjoy it straight away.
