Anhua heicha, also known as dark tea, a post fermented tea from Hunan province in China. Tian jian is a high grade production of Anhua heicha that contains younger leaves and buds. This production was made on commission for white2tea in 2021 and pressed in 2022.
Lively tea with bright notes of tobacco and spice poured over a syrupy sweet intensity that it excellent for a fresh daily heicha lover. Convenient tea to take on the go or when you don't want to mess with a big basket of heicha.

*don't be afraid of what appears to be incredibly tight compression, tian jian can only be pressed using very tight compression or the leaves won't stick together (they're not quite as tacky as teas you might be familiar with like raw Puer). A one minute boiling rinse and a slightly longer than average first steep opens this little tea ball right up.
