A tea that began as an experiment for our tea club years ago. We commissioned a Sichuan green tea farmer to use some of their purple varietal material to produce a white tea using Fujian style processing.
The results were a creamy, sweet and succulent white tea with bright aromatics and a stone fruit character that flooded our inbox with requests for more. After waiting another year for the weather to cooperate, we commissioned enough for a pressed production. Wonderful white tea and a unique standout; this combination of provenance and production style is far from common.
Each cake is 200 grams, with 5 cakes per bamboo tong.
