Black Ant Dancong
Our first time selling this type of Dancong, Black Ant or hei may. Like most dancongs, it has a few stories behind the name. Some say it is because the twisted leaves look like black ants. Others because ants congregated on the trees. In any case, it's a subset of zhilanxiang varietal that isn't as broadly famous and is a bit underappreciated.
The tea has a powerful burst of perfume. Sweet, sticky sap body and funky florals. Caramelized citrus fruits and honey. It's over the top, even for a dancong. If you love to nose around an oolong session, you'll want the black ant.
